Toddy Brewers for home and Hub Roasters' Costa Rica "Macho"

We have a few Toddy Brewer setups for sale. We know Toddy has some fans in Reno, so we have some available for you to take and use at home! It's a piece of cake to use, and we have all the freshly-roasted Hub Roasters' Costa Rica "Macho" you could need to make it happen.

$45 for a brewer and 12 oz. of Macho, and you'll have your own week's supply of Toddy Iced Coffee.

More Summer news!

Toddy iced coffee is a stable part of our summer menu now. Always smooth and refreshing, and heavily caffeinated. If you're not familiar with the Toddy brewing method, get the scoop here: http://www.toddycafe.com.

We also have a rotating selection of iced tea, from Oolong to Green and often some herbal tea options.

Don't forget we're now open until 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday. Come sip down some Toddy along with the sun!

Mark has taken a little trip out to Fallon to visit our friends at Coffee PER, the company behind the San Franciscan coffee roaster that we are having built for our new roasting operation. We have quite a bit of green (un-roasted) coffee left over after our trial runs with the small sample roaster (a San Franciscan model as well) in April and May, but since we've been unable to roast on that particular sample roaster we have been sitting on a few bags of green coffee. So Mark is commandeering a roaster for the day and we'll have some fabulous, Hub-roasted coffee for the masses over the coming days. Get in here and try/buy some while it lasts!!!

We'll be open on the 4th of July from 6-3 p.m. Stop by for your fix so you can stay awake long enough to see some fireworks.

A promising first week.

We had our first official, full day of business on this wonderful Monday in Reno. A nice, cool morning made for good coffee-drinkin' weather. And the day brightened up just enough to make the patio area perfect for an afternoon iced coffee.

For those of you that have been following the blog or keeping up on the news as we've progressed up to this point, you may have heard a little bit about the hours we were hoping to keep on a day-to-day basis. The way it's looking now, after actually spending a few days in the coffeeshop, I believe the boss and I have come to a final agreement in regards to business hours. We decided that Sunday-Thursday we'd keep doors open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday, we're hoping, will be a little better for evening hours, and we've decided to keep the doors open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. But until we've built a solid customer base, gotten the word out about The Hub, and received some strong feedback from the community for a change to later hours throughout the week, we think early morning and early afternoon are our key points in the day. Either way, we hope everyone comes to Hub it when they can, and keep in mind that your feedback about what we're doing is important!

Today was a great day at the shop. From 6:30 a.m. to close, there was at least one person at any time hanging around and enjoying something from The Hub: lots of old friends, and many new customers as well. Thank you for your support! Let's hope that the constant flow maintains, but the strength of that flow increases exponentially!

We have some amazing choices at The Hub this week. If you haven't already been in to try our iced coffee, I highly recommend that you do. We use a cold brew process exclusive to The Hub in the Reno area, and coupled with the fact that we have some truly delicious coffees to brew up in this manner, it really is a treat! Refreshing, tasty, and a good pick-me-up in the heat of the afternoon. Learn a bit more at www.toddycafe.com, and make sure you come to The Hub for some one-on-one with me!
